Our Commitment

Nobles Firearms is committed to ensuring our website and in-person services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a working standard for our digital experience and welcome feedback from anyone who finds a barrier.

Conformance Status

We design and build to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Conformance is an ongoing process — some areas of the site may not yet fully meet the standard. Where we identify gaps, we fix them on a priority basis.

The current scope of this statement: noblesfirearms.com and its public-facing pages.

Accessibility Features in Place

• Semantic HTML — proper landmarks, headings, lists, and form labels for screen readers.
• Keyboard navigation — every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard, with a visible focus ring (gold outline on the dark background) that meets contrast requirements.
• Skip-to-content link — the first focusable element on every page jumps past the navigation directly to main content.
• Color contrast — body text, headings, and interactive elements meet or exceed AA contrast ratios on our dark background.
• Alternative text — images carry descriptive alt text. Decorative photos use empty alt to avoid screen-reader noise.
• Mobile + responsive — the site reflows down to 320px-wide screens and supports zoom up to 200% without loss of content or function.
• Motion respect — animations honor your operating system's “reduce motion” setting; parallax and marquees stop when reduced motion is enabled.
• Form errors — every input field communicates its validation status via both color and text, with errors announced to assistive technology.
• ARIA where appropriate — Radix UI primitives (dialog, accordion, select, tabs) provide tested ARIA patterns for screen readers.
• Document titles — every page has a unique, descriptive title.

In-Person Accessibility

• Our Tampa training facility is wheelchair accessible by appointment. Please tell us about any access needs when you book so we can prepare.
• We provide loaner firearms with grips, mag releases, and reach options suitable for a range of hand sizes and strengths.
• Hearing protection is available in both passive and electronic styles. Eye protection is available with prescription-friendly designs.
• A licensed companion or support person is welcome to accompany you to classes at no extra cost (with prior arrangement so we can plan range time and safety positioning).

Known Issues We're Working On

• Third-party embeds (e.g., Google Maps iframe) inherit the accessibility of those providers and may not fully meet WCAG. We provide text alternatives (address, phone) alongside any embed.
• PDF certificates we publish on the About page are scanned documents and may not yet have a fully accessible text layer. Text descriptions of each credential appear adjacent to the image. If you need a text version, contact us and we will provide one.

Help Us Improve

If you encounter a barrier, find content that's difficult to use, or have a suggestion, please tell us. We treat accessibility issues with the same priority as functional bugs.

When reporting an issue, please share:

• The page or feature you were trying to use (URL or description).
• What you expected to happen and what actually happened.
• The assistive technology, browser, and device you were using, if applicable.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 2 business days and to resolve verified issues within 15 business days, depending on complexity.

Formal Complaints

If we are unable to resolve an issue to your satisfaction, you may file a complaint under Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Ongoing Improvement

We periodically audit the site against WCAG 2.1 AA using both automated tools and manual screen-reader testing. We treat accessibility as part of our build process rather than an afterthought — new features ship with accessibility checks completed.
