As of January 1, 2026, the federal NFA transfer tax on suppressors, short-barreled rifles, SBSs, and AOWs dropped from $200 to $0. The paperwork still applies. The wait still applies. The $200 check to the ATF does not.
Buyers still submit fingerprints, a photo, and an application — and still wait for ATF approval before taking possession. The item must be legally registered. What's gone is the tax. Demand is climbing fast.

How NFA Works
The paperwork seems complicated. We make it a 10-minute experience.
Suppressors and SBRs are still NFA-regulated — the full ATF Form 4 (transfer) or Form 1 (making) process still applies. We handle the registration steps in-house so you're not assembling the puzzle yourself.
Fingerprints & Photo
Digital fingerprinting and ATF photo done in-house at $40 — no separate trip to a third-party vendor.
ATF eForm Filing
Form 4 (transfer) or Form 1 (making) submitted electronically. No paper, no mailroom guesswork.
Approval & Pickup
When ATF approves, you come in to take possession. We handle the bound-book entry; you handle the safe.
