What do I need to bring to a purchase appointment?

A valid government-issued photo ID with your current address. If you live in a state that requires a permit-to-purchase, bring that as well.

How much do you charge for an FFL transfer?

$35 for the first firearm (includes the $5 FDLE background-check fee), $20 for each additional on the same transfer. Active training students transfer for $25, or free with a class. Private-party transfers are $50.

How much is the federal NFA tax stamp now?

$0 for suppressors, short-barreled rifles, SBSs, and AOWs as of January 1, 2026. The $200 tax was eliminated. The Form 4 paperwork, fingerprints, and ATF approval wait still apply, but the tax does not. Machine guns and destructive devices remain at $200.

What does an NFA transfer cost at Nobles?

$100 if you bought the suppressor or SBR elsewhere. $0 — waived — if you bought it from us. Fingerprints and ATF photo are $40 in-house, and we offer an in-house NFA gun trust at $149.

Do I need a gun trust?

It's optional, but it lets multiple people legally possess the item and makes estate transfer painless. We offer an in-house trust at $149 — under the $199 most competitors charge.

How long does an NFA approval take?

It varies. ATF Form 4 (transfer) and Form 1 (making) approval times shift with workload, but eForm filings — which is how we file — typically move faster than paper. We'll set expectations honestly when you start the process.

Will you sell to non-Florida residents?

Long guns may be sold to residents of any U.S. state once our FFL is active. Handguns may only be transferred to Florida residents, in compliance with federal law.
