Range Safety Officer (RSO) Certification
NRA RSO credential, taught by a Chief RSO.
The NRA Range Safety Officer credential is the standard for anyone working a range — commercial, club, or law-enforcement. This 8-hour class delivers the full official NRA curriculum, taught by a Chief Range Safety Officer authorized to certify other RSOs. You learn the role, the responsibilities, the standard operating procedures, and the emergency action plans that keep ranges safe. Passing students earn the NRA RSO credential and a certificate suitable for employment at any commercial or club range in the country.
